Occupied Wheeler

9 Student protesters are currently chained to an antenna on the fourth floor of Wheeler Hall to protest budget cuts to public education as a crowd of 100 gather on the steps below for a teach-in. They need your support and demand the following:

1. Roll back the fee hikes.
2. Democratize the Regents.
3. Stop repression against student protestors.
4. End Operational Excellence.

One reply on “UC Berkeley Occupied 4 Demands”

Berkeley protesters who have locked themselves to the roof of Wheeler Hall have agreed to come down – the administration is agreeing to meet some of their demands. These protesters will not be arrested. All student-protesters from last year will have their student-conduct charges dropped. The protesters have also won a meeting with the Chancellor to discuss (and try to stop) “Operational Excellence” – which essentially involves budget cuts to the University while claiming Excellence
